Common questions

There is no sound

The game follows your device's ring/silent switch, like most games, so first check that the device is not on silent and that the volume is up. Then check the round speaker button at the top of the game screen: it turns the game's sounds on and off.

How do you hatch an egg?

Keep tapping the egg. Every egg needs a different number of taps, and quick taps in a row fill the bar faster. Watch the cracks grow until the shell bursts open.

How many dinosaurs are there?

Twenty gummy dinosaurs hatch from eight kinds of candy egg, from Common all the way to Mythic. Every dinosaur your child finds is kept in My Nest (the nest button at the top of the screen). Tap one there to bring it back and play with it again.

What can my child do with a dinosaur?

Poke it for hearts, tap it quickly a few times to tickle it into a giggle dance, press and hold to squish it and let go to make it jump, tap the floor to make it hop over, and swipe sideways to turn it around.

Will we lose the collection?

No. The collection is saved on the device and stays there when the app is updated. Deleting the app removes it (Offload App keeps it).

How do we start over?

Open My Nest, scroll to the bottom and hold the round button for two seconds. The collection is emptied and the hunt starts again.

Does it need the internet?

No. Gummy Dino Hatchery works completely offline — on a plane, in the car, anywhere.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.4 or later, in portrait or landscape. It is a 3D game: on older devices it automatically lowers the graphics detail to keep things smooth.
